Job Description

A Barista's primary role is to prepare and serve a variety of coffee and other beverages, while also providing excellent customer service and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. They are responsible for crafting specialty drinks, operating coffee equipment, and interacting with customers to ensure a positive experience. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Beverage Preparation:
  • Baristas prepare a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including espresso drinks, teas, and specialty drinks, following standard recipes and customer requests. 
  • Customer Service:
  • They greet customers, take orders, answer questions about the menu, and process payments. 
  • Equipment Operation:
  • Baristas operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment safely and efficiently. 
  • Cash Handling:
  • They handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and responsibly. 
  • Cleanliness & Organization:
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including cleaning equipment, restocking supplies, and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the coffee shop, is crucial. 
  • Inventory Management:
  • Baristas may be involved in monitoring inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, and other supplies, and placing orders as needed. 
  • Teamwork:
  • Baristas often work as part of a team and may need to collaborate to ensure smooth and efficient service. 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for interacting with customers.
