Role Overview We are looking for a Backend MERN Stack Developer who specializes in building scalable, high-performance, and secure backend systems using Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB. The ideal candidate should have deep backend knowledge and experience integrating APIs, managing databases, and deploying production-ready systems. What You'll Do Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and Express.js Design and manage databases using MongoDB (and optionally MySQL/PostgreSQL) Build, integrate, and consume RESTful APIs (GraphQL is a bonus) Implement authentication and security (OAuth, JWT, RBAC) Optimize backend performance and troubleshoot system issues Work closely with frontend developers for seamless integration Deploy applications via CI/CD, Docker, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure Write unit and integration tests using Jest, Mocha, etc. Required Technical Skills Languages & Frameworks: JavaScript (ES6+), Node.js, Express.js (or Nest.js) Deep understanding of async programming, event loop, and modular code Databases: MongoDB (primary), experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Redis is a plus ORM tools like Mongoose or Sequelize Security: JWT, OAuth, session handling, RBAC Prevention of common vulnerabilities (XSS, CSRF, SQL injection) DevOps & Deployment: Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines Deployment to AWS, Azure, DigitalOcean, or Heroku Real-Time & Messaging: WebSockets / Socket.IO Message queues like Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS Bonus (Nice to Have) TypeScript Serverless experience (AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions) Swagger/Postman for API documentation Familiarity with NoSQL databases like DynamoDB or CouchDB Basic understanding of React.js (for integration purposes) Reminder: Only candidates with almost 1 to 2 yrs strong backend MERN experience will be considered.
