Role Overview: As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the server-side logic of our applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be involved in the design and implementation of database schemas and work closely with other team members to create a seamless integration between various systems. Key Responsibilities: Develop, test, and maintain backend code using JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js. Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code for our backend systems. Implement and manage MongoDB databases, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Work with AWS services to deploy, manage, and scale backend services. Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. Participate in system design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions. Write clear and comprehensive technical documentation. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software systems. Implement security and data protection protocols. Work closely with DevOps to ensure smooth deployment and operation of backend services. Required Skills and Qualifications: Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in backend development. Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript. Strong experience with Node.js and its frameworks (e.g., Express). Solid understanding of MongoDB and other NoSQL databases. Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and CloudFormation. Knowledge of system design principles and best practices. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team. Experience with version control systems like Git and Bitbucket. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with additional databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL. Knowledge of Docker and containerization.
