Job Description

As a Design Engineer at Jay Constructions and Consultants, you will be responsible for developing cost-efficient design layouts based on construction requirements and client specifications. You will create conceptual designs from client briefs and from scratch, preparing 3D models and CAD drawings for approvals and submissions. It will be your duty to ensure compliance with standard design protocols and procedures while analyzing and resolving design-related issues with effective solutions. You will be conducting structural and civil calculations in line with project needs, estimating construction costs and material requirements accurately. Field surveys and site investigations will be part of your tasks to support design accuracy and assess project feasibility by reviewing plans and identifying constraints. Utilizing modern software tools and technology to enhance design output will be essential. Maintaining organized and up-to-date design documentation, incorporating health, safety, and environmental considerations in designs, and managing design projects within deadlines and allocated budgets are crucial aspects of this role. Implementing design modifications as project needs evolve and staying updated with the latest trends and developments in civil design will be expected from you.
