Job Description
We are looking for a result-driven and experienced Area Sales Manager Agriculture to oversee sales operations in a designated region. The role involves managing field sales teams, driving revenue growth, building strong dealer/distributor networks, and promoting our agricultural products such as seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, equipment, or organic inputs. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve company goals. Supervise and motivate field sales officers and distributors in the assigned area. Identify new business opportunities, dealer networks, and expand customer base. Monitor sales performance, market trends, competitor activities, and provide timely reports to management. Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, retailers, farmers, and key stakeholders. Conduct regular field visits to understand customer needs and support sales team efforts. Organize farmer meetings, product demonstrations, and promotional events. Train and guide the sales team on product knowledge, sales techniques, and market coverage. Coordinate with supply chain, marketing, and product development teams for smooth operations. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness,marketing or a related field. Minimum 1-4 years of experience in agri-input sales or related sectors Proven track record of managing field teams and achieving sales targets. Strong knowledge of the local agricultural market and cropping patt Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficient in using MS Office and CRM tools. Willing to travel extensively within the assigned area. Preferred Skills: Experience working with agri dealers/distributors and rural customers. Ability to analyze sales data and generate actionable insights. Knowledge of organic/eco-friendly agri products (if applicable). Benefits: Fixed salary + performance-based incentives.
