Job Description
As an Area Manager - DBS Treasures in the Partnership Distribution department, you will be responsible for managing the sales and business objectives of the region. Your role will involve meeting or exceeding key targets, ensuring optimal market coverage, realizing market segment objectives, and planning resource allocation for the financial viability of the region. It will be crucial for you to lead and manage the sales team effectively by providing ongoing coaching and ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations. Reporting to the Zone Sales Manager, you will supervise Area Managers, Territory Managers, and Relationship Managers. Your key result areas will include strategic business development, business development, team management, compliance, and MIS & reporting. You will be expected to plan and establish a Regional Sales team to support the partners distribution strategy, assist the bank in acquiring banking customers through insurance product sales, and achieve pre-set business targets for the region. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing training to frontline staff, monitoring sales momentum, and ensuring compliance to internal sales processes. To excel in this role, you should have direct sales experience in the banking environment, product expertise, team management skills, mentoring skills, and a strong business perspective. Your ability to manage performance, demonstrate financial industry awareness, and solve problems effectively will be essential. Moreover, your interviewing skills, self-management, and peer-level coordination will contribute to your success in driving sales performance and fostering compliance culture within the team.,
