As a Finance professional at Smiths Detection, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of people and infrastructure worldwide. Your responsibilities will include: - Performing Intercompany reconciliations on a monthly basis as part of month closing. - Conducting bank clearing activities and preparing bank reconciliations in a timely manner. - Operating controls related to the general ledger, including balance sheet reconciliations for AP area and providing necessary commentary. - Managing and resolving vendor queries efficiently to maintain smooth operations. - Providing support for both internal and external audit processes. - Handling any other adhoc tasks as requested by the business. To excel in this role, you should meet the following qualifications: - MBA with at least 3 years of relevant experience OR Graduate/Post-graduate with at least 5 years of relevant experience. - Experience in a Shared Service Centre environment is highly advantageous. - Self-starter who can perform routine tasks independently with minimal supervision. - Proficient in communicating clearly in fluent spoken and written English. - Strong SAP skills, including the use of purchase orders and SAP expense processing. - Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office programs. - Ability to engage, challenge, and collaborate effectively with colleagues. - Skilled in building internal relationships and networks. - Willingness and capability to identify and support change and continuous improvement. - Demonstrated functional and technical knowledge to achieve high levels of accomplishment.
