Job Description
Key Responsibilities: Financial Management & Planning Prepare and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Analyze financial performance and suggest improvements. Manage cash flow, working capital, and investment planning. Support senior management in strategic financial decisions. Accounting Operations Ensure accurate and timely closing of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts. Maintain and improve accounting systems and internal controls. Coordinate bank reconciliations and journal entries. Financial Reporting Prepare financial statements in compliance with accounting standards Generate MIS (Management Information System) reports for internal use. Ensure timely submission of statutory and regulatory reports. Present financial insights to senior management or the board. Compliance & Audit Ensure compliance with tax laws (e.g., GST, TDS, Income Tax) and other regulatory requirements. Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants for audits and assessments. Maintain documentation for internal and external audits. Team Leadership Lead and supervise the accounts and finance team. Train and mentor junior accountants and finance staff. Set goals, assign responsibilities, and monitor team performance. Risk Management & Cost Control Identify financial risks and implement risk mitigation strategies. Monitor and control expenses to improve profitability. Ensure proper insurance coverage and financial safeguards. ERP & Financial Systems Implement and manage accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle). Ensure data integrity, security, and proper backups. Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (MBA/CA/CPA preferred). 5+ years of experience in financial management or accounting. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations. Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel. Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
