Summary As a 2D Game Artist, you will bring immersive worlds and captivating characters to life through visual storytelling and artistic execution. You will collaborate closely with game designers, developers, and other artists to create high-quality assets that align with the game's vision and enhance the overall player experience. Responsibilities Create 2D Assets, including characters, environments, props, and textures, according to the artistic direction of the project. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including game designers, animators, and developers, to integrate assets seamlessly into the game engine. Ensure artistic consistency and style fidelity across all visual assets within the game. Participate in visual brainstorming and concept development, contributing ideas and mood boards that align with the game's vision. Optimize art assets for performance and memory efficiency without compromising quality. Provide feedback and support to junior artists, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment. Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and tools to continuously improve artistic output and workflows. Qualifications Strong understanding of game art fundamentals: composition, color theory, lighting, anatomy, and perspective. A compelling portfolio showcasing a range of art styles and game-ready assets. Excellent visual storytelling and communication skills. Ability to take and incorporate feedback constructively.
